Among the first patients of Tikun Olam, and thus in Israel, were disabled veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, some of whom were captured in the Yom Kippur War (1973). In its early days, some of the patients were integrated into the company as volunteers, providing a framework that contributes to the rehabilitation process.

Over the years, we have been exposed to hundreds of cases of PTSD and we are witnessing the ability of therapy to assist in coping, rehabilitation and return to a normative lifestyle alongside the trauma, regardless of the cause that led to it.
